There was a great turnout for the Lady Presidents Scramble & Barbeque this evening won by Gerry Carty, Joyce Boles & Aisling Gaughran. In 2nd place were Liam Mullaney, Criona O’Donnell & Paddy Nangle, 3rd place Gary Carty, Cillian Doyle & Michael Costello. A special welcome back to Liam Mullaney who has been out for the past few months.

At the presentation Lady President Moira Egan thanked everyone for taking part with special thanks to Mary for the food, Gary for looking after the Bar & Michael Rush for the great condition of the course. She wished the ladies and gents good luck in Sundays competition.

This coming Monday and Tuesday the greens will be poleforked. The course will be closed on both days

A very attentive audience

Last Sunday’s 18 hole stroke was won by Gerry Carty with a 61, 2nd Paddy Nangle 62, Gross Gary Carty, 3rd Martin Wynne 64. Sunday’s results see Gary Carty move to the top of the Golfer of the Year Board with a one point lead over Tom Kearney. Gerry Carty is in 3rd place. Thursday night’s competition was won by Jim Mooney 21pts, 2nd Lionel Lynn 20pts, 3rd Jonathan Egan

Fridays Scramble was won by Gary Carty, Criona O’Donnell & Jimmy Dwyer, 2nd Charlie O’Donnell, Mary Lombard & Lionel Lynn, 3rd Michael Simon, Jonathan Egan & John Joe Carty

Well done to Jonathan Egan who won his King Harmon semi-final against Gary Carty and now meets Martin Wynne in the final. Good luck to both 

Competitions for this week are the Mens Competition on Thursday night; Friday will be the Lady Presidents Scramble & Barbeque, please put your name on the noticeboard. Sunday is Lady Presidents Day and we send best wishes to Moira Egan for a great day. The Lady Presidents Prize to the men tee off is before 9.30 or after 2.30. Presentation will take place on Sunday evening 

There will be a volunteer evening this Wednesday evening at 6.00pm to prepare for Lady Presidents weekend. All support appreciated 

Last weekends Captains Prize to the Juniors were won by Ciara Rooney and Seth Meredith Category winners/runners up were Eoin Conneely, Conor McGee, Seth Meredith, Jack Murphy, Garret Mullen, David McGee, Brian O’Connor, Andrew McGee, Ciara Rooney and Nicole Reilly. At the presentation Moira Egan thanked all who took part and also thanked all those who helped with the coaching on Saturday mornings including Paddy Nangle, Brendan & Susan Gaffney and Paul Connolly. Ciara Rooney and Seth Meredith, on behalf of the Juniors thanked all the coaches during the season
